N. Donald Diebel Sr., MD Co-Founder, OB & GYN Specialists

President of the Fund, Don’s father— Dr. Don Diebel Sr. is the President of the Fund and has served in that role since its founding. Professionally, he is well known and respected both locally and nationally in his medical specialty. He co-founded OB & GYN Specialists, PA in 1977 and has served in several leadership positions with Orlando Health. Don Sr. keeps The Diebel Legacy Fund on track and leads the organization’s ongoing efforts.

Anne H. Diebel-Lane, Psy.D. Retired Clinical Psychologist, Vice President of the Fund

Don’s mother— She joined the board right after founding and served as the Secretary up until 2012. She keeps the Fund informed and organized and chaired the past galas, A Night for Champions. Anne continues to help with ongoing Fund newsletters.

Don’s sister— Chris brings a commitment to Don’s memory and helps the Fund remain faithful to his altruistic legacy. She served on the Board of Advisors until 2007, when she moved to the Board of Directors.

Don’s brother— Pete’s main interest in the fund involves outreach. His vision directed the new Medical Samaritan program. He also has worked on the Fund’s Award Program. Pete served on the Board of Advisors until 2007, when he moved to the Board of Directors. He takes responsibility for technology management on the board.

Eric Shulman brings a wealth of knowledge in marketing and sales to the Board of Directors. His exceptional outreach skills complement the Board greatly and have been a tremendous asset to the Fund’s continued success. Eric joined the board in 2012.

Ron Ben-Zeev World Housing Solution

Ron was born in Israel and grew up in Africa, Asia, Europe and the USA. Ron started his first business at the age of 13 when living in France. He moved to the US in the early 80’s and graduated from the Wharton School Of Business. Throughout his career, his entrepreneurial drive to solve problems has taken him on a varied business journey through multiple industries, including communications, software, hardware, hospitality, real estate, manufacturing, SAAS, Social Enterprises and more, on four continents. He now resides in Central Florida where he is the CEO of World Housing Solution and a Principal of Complete The Pair. He is an integral part of the growth of the local startup ecosystem through 1 Million Cups, Startup Weekend and Lean Startup Machine. He most recently became the first Entrepreneur in Residence and Adjunct Professor in the Rollins College Business and Social Entrepreneurship department. He was recently appointed to the Board of the Wharton Initiative for Global Entrepreneurship (Wharton IGEL). He also sits on several other central Florida local non-profit and for-profit boards.

Kaia Forget Rollins College Philanthropy & Nonprofit Leadership Center

Kaia W. Forgét currently works as a program manager for the Rollins College Philanthropy & Nonprofit Leadership Center, whose mission is to strengthen the impact, effectiveness and leadership of nonprofit and philanthropic organizations through education and management assistance. Her past experience includes work with AmeriCorps programs, public school education, and community issues across the public, private, and nonprofit sectors. Kaia currently serves on the UCF College of Public Administration Nonprofit Advisory Board. She is the Immediate Past Chair of the St. Charles Borromeo Catholic School Board, past chair of several committees for the League of Women Voters of Orange County, and has served as a grant reviewer for United Arts of Central Florida and the Central Florida Affiliate of Susan G. Komen. She is a 2009 Orlando Business Journal Forty Under 40 honoree and a graduate of Leadership Orlando Class 66. She earned the Rollins College Certificate in Nonprofit Management. Kaia received a B.A. from Canisius College in Buffalo, N.Y., and an M.A. from the University of Central Florida.
